Donated funds will be used for fighting to keep Durham Hospital operating with inpatient bed and 24/7 Emergency Department (ER).

Keeping attention focused on SBGHC’s April 24th announcement and holding them accountable for the lack of community involvement and the shortfalls in their board goverance of providing quality health care to each of the communities it serves.

Holding Premier Doug Ford, MOH Sylvia Jones and MPP Rick Byers responsible in allowing the removal of beds and reduction of ER hours at the Durham Hospital.

Keeping attention on the current governments policy of reducing/closing rural ERs.

Any excess funds at the closure of this committee will be donated to local groups and/or foundations who are attempting to better the community we live in.
